No Buddha for Decoration!

“It is wrong to use symbols of Buddha in bar decoration and tattoo. It means no respect.” Also, when you go through passport control entering Thailand there are huge signs about how it is illegal to buy Buddha statues for decoration.

Buddhist Holiday: Asala - Dharma Day

Yeah it’s cool it’s a Buddhist holiday today and all... but you also aren’t allowed to drink alcohol (even tourists!) and the temples are closed for tourists too so you can’t do that either.

Bangkok, Thailand. My phone seems to struggle in this humidity, but still happy to be here! I arrived in Bangkok early but super jet lagged so I kept things low key and saw mission impossible at the cinema.
