The Doll's House at Tate Britain. This painting was created with a scene from Ibsen's play the Doll House in mind. Unlike the uncovering of most affairs Ibsen chose to create a long silence that built tension upon the reveal. Here the artist picked this scene to paint using his wife and friend as models indirectly questioning their relationship to each other.
